As a part of International Women’s Day celebration a One Day Seminar on Woman – Undaunted was held at L. M. College of Pharmacy to appreciate the remarkable contribution of women to our society.
More than 170 registrations (online and offline) were done by students from various colleges like A. G. Teachers College, H. L. College of Commerce, M. G. Science College, L. D. College of Arts, Anand College of Pharmacy, B. K. Modi College of Pharmacy (Rajkot) and few from the Pharma Industry.
The event was financially assisted by Dr. Rina Gokani, Dr. Jyoti Kaloda, Mr. Narendra Modi and Mr. Kashmir Pagi and the kit was sponsored by Mr. Manish Sariya (Ahmedabad Agency).
The function was inaugrated by Chief Guest: Dr. Malti G. Chauhan (Former Dean, Ayurveda University of Jamnagar), Guest of Honor: Dr. Mona Kelshikar (Principal, H. L. College of Commerce), Chief Convener: Dr. Mamta Shah (Head of Department, Pharmacognosy) and Principal Incharge: Mr. Hemendra Nanavati (Head of Department, Pharmaceutics).
The programme was nicely hosted by Priyanka Badlani and Reshma Punjabi (B.Pharm Semesrer 8) in the first half and carried further by Mansi Bhalodiya and Dhwani Rana (B.Pharm Semester 6) following a short lunch break.

Following dignitaries from various domains were invited to speak on this occasion-

2. Ms. Sonal Chauhan (Social and Cancer Health Activist)
3. Dr. Munira Momin (Principal, B.N. College of Pharmacy, Mumbai)
4. Mrs. Jimmy Nanda (Former Mrs. India)
5. Mrs. Surbhi Vasa (“Rasoi Show” Expert)
They all shared their life experiences and the difficulties faced in life. They not only talked about women empowerment but also guided students to evolve as a better person. They motivated girls not to underestimate themselves as a women and advised them to be financially active, to break the stereotype, to be out of comfort zone and work hard for fulfilling their dreams.
A few video clips on inspirational women were also shown to participants.
At last the vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Krupa V. Gadhvi (Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacognosy).
The programme was a great success and the credit goes to Dr. Mamta Shah (Head of Department, Pharmacognosy) and her team.
