India’s first pharmacy institute, L. M. College of Pharmacy, has been selected for setting up ATAL INCUBATION CENTER by Niti Aayog. The institute will receive a grant up to 10 crores over 5 years for establishing and running the center. The incubation center is only healthcare specific incubation center of the country. Ultra sophisticated laboratory facilities will be developed to support and mentor the innovation ideas of the students and faculties of the country.
The training program will be conducted round the year to motivate the young brains for innovative ideas and solutions to existing healthcare and pharmaceuticals related problems. The generated ideas will be mentored in the incubation center to convert it in to a start-up. The center will have a full time CEO and pool of mentors from variety of fields such as healthcare industry, academics, management, law etc. to provide continuous support to convert an innovative idea to a start-up. The incubation center facilities can also be extended to support the small and medium scale healthcare industry for bringing solution to their day to day problems.
