Elocution competition 2017
L. M. College of Pharmacy conducted an institute-level elocution competition on the topic “Khadi for Nation – Khadi for Fashion” on 20th February, 2017. This competition was organized by Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat.
The chief guests who also doubled as judges for the event were the highly experienced Anil Raval – who has been in the teaching profession for about 31 years, been a professor for 17 and has 13 published books to his credit; and the very respectable Dr. Vasudev Vishnuprasad Pathak – who has 39 years of experience in teaching various languages such as Hindi, Gujarati and Sanskrit and is also extremely well-versed in literature.
They were felicitated with a bouquet by the Hon’ble principal Dr. M. T. Chhabria.
Nine students, who were allowed to speak in the language of their choice for 4 minutes on the given topic, participated with great enthusiasm, preparedness and creativity. It was truly a joy to hear the patriotism and maturity in the voices of each participant.
These students were then evaluated on the basis of clarity of voice, content, oratory skills, confidence, creativity and overall performance.
The event ended with a few motivational words by the chief guests, and giving away of keepsakes by Dr. M. T. Chhabria.
The winners of this competition were –
1st position – Reshma Punjabi (Semester 6)
2nd position – Palak Bhat (Semester 4)
3rd position – Shrey Darji (Semester 4)
